​The 4th of July in Crested Butte is a patriotic celebration full of music, food, races, and fun.

We are thrilled to celebrate America’s birthday with you in the country’s biggest small town festival. 

The quirky little town is very serious about their celebrations and you'll see most townies and visitors dressing up in crazy outfits!

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

7:00 - 10:00 am:

Pancake Breakfast at the Crested Butte Fire & EMS Department 

​

8:00 am:

Gothic to Crested Butte 1/3rd Marathon starts in Gothic and ends right at 3rd street and Elk Avenue.

Cheer for the racers on the Rec Path or between 1st and 3rd streets on Elk Ave!

9:00 am - 7:00 pm:

In addition to the normal 9:00 am - 4:00 pm lift schedule, Crested Butte Mountain Resort will be operating twilight hours from 4:30 until 7:00 pm on the Red Lady Express Lift and at the Adventure Park. Twilight tickets may be purchased in the Rental and Demo Center.

10:00 am - 2:00 pm:

Food court, face painting and more at 3rd and Elk Ave

​

11:00 am: 

Fourth of July Parade down Elk Ave (the main street in the town of Crested Butte).

 

12:00 pm:

Gothic to Crested Butte Marathon Awards at 3rd and Elk Ave

 

12:15 - 2:30 pm:

Live music at 3rd and Elk Ave (TBA)

5:30 pm:

Free concert at Butte 66 restaurant - in the resort area towards the base of the mountain.

7:30 pm:

Free concert on the Red Lady Stage outside at the base of the mountain. 

 

9:15 pm:

Mount Crested Butte fireworks show!

Drinks and BBQ will be available for purchase right next to the live music to keep everyone fueled for the party.

 

Please note that no outside alcohol or dogs will be permitted on the lawn due to safety and state regulations.
