How To Get To

Crested Butte Colorado

Looking for a ski resort that's an easy, scenic drive from Denver? Crested Butte is the one for you. Forget the backed-up traffic for Vail and Breckenridge. Meet Colorado's best-kept secret.

Getting to Crested Butte is easy!

Travelers who want to go right from the plane to the slopes can fly into Gunnison County Airport (GUC), a mere 30-minute drive from the town. For those who want a bit cheaper airfare and don’t mind an hour and 30 minutes drive, Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) is a preferred destination. For the absolute lowest priced air travel, travelers can fly into Denver International Airport (DEN), located 4 hours drive time from Crested Butte.

The route up to Crested Butte from neighboring states like Texas, Oklahoma and the Southwest can be quite enjoyable and doable as a long day drive.

Although seemingly closer to Denver, resort-towns like Breckenridge, Vail, Aspen, Snowmass Keystone, and Copper Mountain are a mission to get to in season. With traffic backed up for miles, an hour and 30-minute drive can easily double. Why start your vacation sitting in traffic? Visit Crested Butte!

Crested Butte’s separate, yet convenient location off the main interstate of Colorado and away from the other massive ski resorts helps to maintain its quaint and hospitable charm.
