Mountain Adventurers

Mountain Advent is a fully state child-care licensed program. The camp is also permitted with the BLM and US Forest Service in the Gunnison National Forest.

 

Explore the Gunnison Valley Mountains, raft rivers, paddleboard lakes, climb crags, hike trails, and take in the scenery by foot, bike, or paddleboard with a fly-rod in hand or while high on a cliff!  *Note: Parents must provide lunch.

Blue Mesa

Includes: Swimming, Frisbees and games

All Blue Mesa days are supervised by their Red Cross Certified Lifeguards.

Canoeing & Paddleboarding

Activities are located on Irwin or Spring Creek! Experienced instructors will provide technical instruction in skills and safe boating practices.

Fly Fishing

Complete with expert guides of Three Rivers Resort & Outfitting.

Participants learn to tie flies and cast, trying their new skills out at the trout pond.

Girls Only Program

All groups will be led by their trained, experienced Mountain Adventures bike coaches and the focus will be on creating a positive experience and having fun.

Rock Climbing

The activity will consist of easy climbs, broken up with games, team-building activities, and time for free-play.

Closed-toed sneakers are required; they also have a selection of climbing shoes available.

Ropes Course

Atop the Red Lady Lift, kids will enjoy The Swinging Bridge, The Pamper Pole, and The Zip Line!

Closed-toed sneakers are required.

Hiking & Orienteering

Learning to use a compass and maps while learning about local flowers and wildlife along the trail.

Zipline & Hike

Start out with a fun easy local hike then ride zip lines ranging in length from 120-400 feet connected by features or events such as suspended wood bridges  and towering platforms.

There is a 70 lb. minimum for the Zipline.

Archery & Frisbee

Expert guides of Three Rivers Resort & Outfitting. Will take you the kids on a ride through the rapids on oar-framed rafts. Rafting leaves at 8:15 am from the Camp CB/Whetstone building in the Mt. Crested Butte Base Area. Pick-up is the same time as Mountain Adventures.

You must be at Camp CB/Whetstone Building for morning drop off at 8:15 AM Sharp for the rafting days!!! The van will leave shortly after the 8:15 AM drop off.

Rafting

Float the Taylor River with the expert guides of Three Rivers Resort & Outfitting. Experienced instructors take you on a ride through the rapids on oar-framed rafts. Rafting leaves at 8:15 am from the Camp CB/Whetstone building in the Mt. Crested Butte Base Area. Pick-up is the same time as Mountain Adventures.
